Absent from circuits since 2010, the Drayson Racing team have been running on test tracks away from prying eyes - except for a demonstration given at Goodwood in July, during which the Lola beat the record for electric cars with a 53 second ascent (video above).

For the test, new body parts were developed by WMG who were also present. According to the comment posted by the team on Twitter, the test was judged a success.

Its design was entrusted to the Royal College of Art in London. A nomination for the 56th pit has not been mentioned, but Lord Drayson said he would run his Lola at the Test Day 24 Hours of Le Mans ... To be continued!
