The curtain came down on the 2016 European Le Mans Series season on 23 October. The 4 Hours of Estoril provided a dramatic finale to an exciting season that saw G-Drive Racing and Aston Martin Racing secure the LM P2 and GTE titles.
United Autosports, having dominated the LM P3 class throughout the season, had already clinched the title but things didn’t quite go to plan in Portugal. Thiriet by TDS Racing had moved to the top of the LM P2 standings before the final round but encountered electrical issues in Estoril.
