Ten points separate Jota Sport, Greaves Motorsport and Thiriet by TDS Racing in the provisional standings. Each of these three teams has a good reason to want to score the title. The first is going after a first title, before heading into the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2016, while the second and third are looking to nab a second ELMS title. Greaves Motorsport and Jota Sport won in LM P2 at Le Mans, in 2011 and 2014 respectively. Thiriet by TDS Racing clinched pole position in 2014 and will benefit from choice support at the wheel of the Oreca 05: Nicolas Lapierre, winner in the class at the 24 Hours in 2015! But the rise of the BR01 chassis, second at Le Castellet, could shake things up and get its first win.
Perhaps a double title awaits TDS Racing in Portugal since the French team is also leader in the GTC standings with its BMW Z3, against AF Corse, representing Ferrari both in the ELMS and the WEC. Ferrari is also leader in the LM GTE class, with Formula Racing's 458 Italia. So once again a great battle in all the classes is on the menu near Lisbon at the Estoril circuit (4.182 km, eight turns, for the season grand finale.
