Enjoy the 24 Hours of Le Mans worry-free thanks to the Dokever company

Dokever is an expert in medical care at events open to the general public and is on-site this year at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company's teams have turned the Spectator Medical Centre into a veritable hospital.

Since 2021, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest has partnered with Dokever to provide medical care for the public at the 24 Hours. The company, an expert in this field for more than 20 years, coordinates all medical-related services for the ACO.

With the 90th running of Le Mans just around the corner on 11-12 June, Dokever's teams are ready to serve and take on any medical challenge that may arise relative to spectators at the race. Dokever Operations Manager Claire Chavrier: "We were on-site during the 24H Motos and the Shark France Moto Grand Prix. We used those events as a rehearsal to organise and manage human resources." At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the medical professions represented through a staff of about 30 include first aiders, doctors, nurses and coordinators. A few of the physiological disorders that can be treated at the Spectators Medical Centre in the heart of the circuit are malaise, sudden fatigue, sunstroke and trauma. "Our functioning is similar to that of a local hospital."

At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the typical day for a Dokever doctor is comprised of checking medical equipment, reconnaissance of the circuit and taking care of patients as they arrive. Serving at the race allows medical personnel to break away from daily hospital life. "We make new professional acquaintances in a variety of services. We keep coming back because we've formed a bond and get to experience the race from the inside."

DOKEVER'S ADVICE FOR ENJOYING THE 90TH 24 HOURS OF LE MANS WORRY-FREE:

  • Take time to rest
  • If it is hot outside, cool down regularly and protect yourself from the sun
