Eurasia Motorsport wrapped up its début ELMS season in sixth place in LM P2. After entertaining thoughts of stepping up to the World Endurance Championship (WEC) next year, the team will be back on the European circuit for another season with Pu Jun Jin and Nick de Bruijn, supported this year by a third driver whose identity will be revealed shortly.
Eurasia Motorsport will be counting on Pu Jun Jin’s presence in ELMS and their participation in the Asian Le Mans Series to achieve their aim of wooing the Chinese public to endurance. Richard Bradley, an LM P2 winner at Le Mans this year with KCMG, William Lok and Tacksung Kim shared the wheel of an Oreca 03R – Nissan in the first two rounds of the 2015–16 Asian LMS season.
Eurasia Motorsport intend to enter a second car for the final two rounds, and going forward, as well as having their sights firmly set on competing in the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Team Principal Mark Goddard: We hope to be able to compete at Le Mans subject to gaining an entry. Oreca have been very supportive and we are happy to continue our relationship with them. We have a strong engineering team with the most competitive car and engine combination together with a great driver lineup which makes me very optimistic for the 2016 season.
Eurasia Motorsport will be returning to action early in the New Year with the 3 Hours of Buriram, in Thailand, from 8–10 January 2016.
