Eye-catching cars at the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans

Inspired by the race itself, historical references and graphic originality, the 24 Hours of Le Mans will once again be decorated with special livery designs.

Porsche GT Team: victorious 50th anniversary - This weekend, the special livery of the #91 and #92 911 RSR-19s will represent two triumphs. This past June, Porsche won the GTE class at the 24 Hours Virtual, half a century to the day after the marque's first overall win in 1970. The red and white are a nod to the colours of the 917 shared by Richard Attwood and Hans Herrmann, the winners that year. And there is a dash of black from the vintage race number, and a legible 1970 on the bonnet and roof of both cars.

Risi Competizione: a French-styled Texan Ferrari - A Sicilian based in Texas and a multilingual Francophone and Francophile, Giuseppe Risi did not stop at simply bringing together an outstanding French trio in Sébastien Bourdais, Jules Gounon and Olivier Pla. He gave the #82 488 GTE Evo (LMGTE Pro) a livery designed by two students of the Ensaama School of Art & Design. Risi even nicknamed it the "Academician" in reference to the olive branches of the Academicians that run across the car, with a thin stripe for the French flag on the bonnet.

ByKOLLES Racing Team: flying yellow arrow - Though ByKOLLES Racing's Enso CLM-P1/01 has kept its traditional gray and yellow colours, they have been visually revitalised by Mark Antar Design. Seen from the profile, the yellow graphics give the impression of an arrow when the car is in motion. The team's operational director, Boris Bermes, considers it the most elegant livery ever sported by the ByKOLLES prototype.

DragonSpeed: two versions of a visual signature - This is not an original livery per se, but rather a long-known symbol revisited. The decoration of the #27 ORECA of Henrik Hedman/Ben Hanley/Renger van der Zande was inspired by the white starry show wear of Evel Knievel, the famous motorcycle stuntman of the 1970s. The starry design is set on a black background for the team's second car (#21) driven by Timothé Buret/Juan Pablo Montoya/Memo Rojas.
