The #708 Glickenhaus 007 LMH Driven by Olivier Pla and fielded by Glickenhaus Racing has scored the pole at the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The start of the race will be given on Saturday 7 May at 13:00 local time.

Glickenhaus Racing has reached a major milestone in the FIA World Endurance Championship since the creation of the Hypercar class. The American team has just secured its first pole position. Olivier Pla proved fastest during qualifying at this coming weekend's TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, second round of the 2022 season. Pla's time of 2:02.771 was two-tenths of a second quicker than that clocked by Mathieu Vaxivière at the wheel of Alpine Elf Team's #36 Alpine A480-Gibson. Kamui Kobayashi placed the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid in third position with a time of 2:03.087.

Pla's teammate Luis Felipe Derani: "We are thrilled and with this great result for Glickenhaus. But, we're headed into a long race tomorrow. We will take the opportunity to learn and improve."

It only takes a lap to get pole position. The car has done well since the first free practice." Nick Tandy with Corvette spared no effort in his attempt to clock the best time, but the 2015 24 Hours winner with Porsche qualified in third position.
