After a promising first outing at the Test Day for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Lotus Evora will make its competition debut this weekend at the 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps.
Starting tomorrow (Thursday), the two cars entered jointly by the Lotus factory and the Austrian team Jet Alliance Racing will face the cream of the GTE group, namely the Ferrari 458 GTC, Porsche 997 RSR, BMW M3, etc.. The leading car (#65) will be assigned to Jonathan Hirschi, James Rossiter and Johnny Mowlem, while Oskar Slingerland and Rich Martin will share #64.
Lukas Lichtner-Hoyer, team owner Jet Alliance: "The test day was very positive, we ran both cars and they were reliable. Ultimately, we were behind the leading pack, with just under nine seconds off the first. It's not much on the 13.6 miles from Le Mans! We still have much room to move because we have barely begun to work on the set up. ...and the car was still under development on the drawing board three months ago! Spa-Francorchamps will give us a first clear idea of our level of performance. "
