Five-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro stands out at the Goodwood Revival

This past weekend, several 24 Hours of Le Mans winners participated in the Goodwood Revival Meeting - a series of vintage car races similar to the Le Mans Classic - in the U.K. Emanuele Pirro, five-time 24 Hours winner with Audi, had an impressive showing at the wheel of a Ferrari 250 GT nicknamed "Breadvan."

Emanuele Pirro made the most of his participation in the Goodwood Revival, winning (along with his teammate Niklas Halusa) in the Kinrara (one of the titles bestowed upon the Duke of Richmond, owner of the Goodwood estate) Trophy, the kickoff race of the weekend held on Friday evening (read: The 2018 Goodwood Revival draws several 24 Hours of Le Mans winners).

The Italian driver didn't fare as well in the St. Mary's Trophy, open to driver line-ups comprised of gentlemen-drivers and professionals, won by Andy Priaulx at the wheel of a Ford Lotus Cortina. Though Priaulx crossed the finish line in second place, the official Ford driver in endurance reached the top step on the podium after the winner incurred a time penalty for jumping the start.

Two-time 24 Hours winner Romain Dumas was unlucky as well, repeating his experience at the Le Mans Classic in early July, and was forced to retire in both races he entered. Three-time class winner at Le Mans Darren Turner finally clinched a victory at Goodwood, at the wheel of an Aston Martin DB2 in the Fordwater Trophy.
