Nearly half a century after its creation, the Ford GT40 is still inspirational.
With a production of only 126, the GT40 won four successive 24 Hours of Le Mans between 1966 and 1969. No wonder then that Ford honoured that memory in 2004 with the famous GT. • The first comes from Galpin Auto Sports, which aims to market a 1000 horsepower supercar! Exhibited at Los Angeles, California the tuner who is known for his Mustang "special" promised that the GTR-1 will resemble the Ford GT.
• More concrete and more extreme, the second project is the work of a man named Johnny Bohmer, owner of Performance Power Racing. Driving his Ford GT developing over 1700 horsepower he has broken the record for the "fastest street legal car in the world": at 455 km/h ... see the proof on video!
