Intercontinental Le Mans Cup - Silverstone Autosport 1000km
There will be four cars, four teams, and a perfect balance for this British manufacturer for the inaugural round ILMC with two cars entered in LM P1 and two in LM P2 .
The three Zyteks normally seen in the Le Mans Series will be joined by a fourth car for the birth of the ILMC. Driven by Tony Burgess, Johnny Mowlem and Chris McMurry, it will be entered by LNT, the parent company that owns both the Ginetta and Zytek. It is joined in LM P1 in this great weekend of endurance by the Zytek of Beechdean Mansell, basking in the recent victory in the LM P1 class in the 1000km Hungaroring. Moreover, the Nigel joins his two son Leo and Greg in the driver's seat... Guaranteed thrills for fans of Mansell and lovers of endurance!
In LM P2, the two Zytek, entered by Quifel-ASM Team (pictured above) and the Team Bruichladdich will be at the forefront of the fight in this category. For Miguel Amaral and Olivier Pla victory will be the objective with no looking back, even though Quifel-ASM is ruled out of the series title race. For Tim Greaves, Karim Ojjeh and Thor-Christian Ebbesvik, the goal is to rob OAK Racing third place overall in LM P2. The Team Bruichladdich will rely on the strength of the Zytek whose only retirement this 2010 season was not caused by a mechanical problem.
In addition to this reliability Ginetta Zytek has also another notable achievement: the marque is the only British manufacturer to be winner in both in LM P1 (at the Hungaroring 1000km) and in LM P2 (at 1000km of Spa, with Quifel-ASM Team) during the 2010 Le Mans Series.
