The French driver drove a Lola-Ford entered by the Krohn Racing team, who have since become regular competitors at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA World Endurance Championship with their distinctive green Ferrari entered in LM GTE Am: "A Daytona Prototype has absolutely nothing in common with a car like the Peugeot 908, but it is still fun. It is not very expensive so it is accessible to as many competitors as possible: the cars all have the same technical philosophy for everyone, and it creates a close racing. On the down side, traffic management in the 24 Hours of Daytona is much more difficult than Le Mans. But the first rule in the United States is to always give the public a good show, and not just fans of motor sport. And for me, only Le Mans offers something similar in Europe because you can still have a good time, whether or not you are passionate about motor sport. "
With Ricardo Zonta, Nic Jönsson and Tracy Krohn, Nicolas Minassian finished sixth at the Daytona 24 Hours 2011. This weekend, Grand Am and the American Le Mans Series share the Road America circuit, with races (respetively) on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th August. Note that two former team mates of Nicolas Minassian at Peugeot with be on the grid of the Grand Am race: Sébastien Bourdais and Stéphane Sarrazin.
