After winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans on his first appearance,  a feat in itself already ensuring his place in the Sarthe legend ... Joined with Australian Geoff Brabham, the French duo of Eric Helary and Christophe Bouchut made 24 hours history at the Sarthe, after all were successful in Formula Ford in the late 80s. On 20 June 1993, the trio helped take a fabulous triple podium for the Peugeot 905, under the leadership of Jean Todt, the current President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), before he left  for F1 and Scuderia Ferrari.

For twenty years, ( see: http://bouchut.com) he  alternated between prototypes and GT's at the  24 Hours of Le Mans, driving Honda and Lotus through Porsche, Mercedes, Viper, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Saleen, Ferrari and Audi. His invaluable experience associated with great pace has allowed him to build an outstanding track record at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Daytona and Spa-Francorchamps FIA GT, Le Mans Series, American Le Mans Series.

In 2013, twenty years after his first 24 Hours of Le Mans, Christophe Bouchut was driving a Lotus T128 prototype. This car has just won their first podium in the LM P2 class at the 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas, the fifth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (http://www.fiawec.com). Although he was absent from this race, you can be sure that the expertise of this French driver will be used again in the future ...
