Henri Pescarolo: "go as far as possible"

Qualification sessions are turning out to have a similar outcome for Henri Pescarolo. After the No.16 Pescarolo 03's accident on Wednesday (see article), the following day it was the turn of the No.17 Pescarolo Dome S102.5 to hit the wall. Already exhausted by a hectic spring, the four-time winner of Le Mans 24 Hours has had no time to breathe.

Henri Pescarolo: "In the Porsche curves, Seiji Ara got the wheel on a kerb. It unbalanced the car, he spun and hit the wall. The shell of the Dome looks intact, there are just parts to change. On the Pescarolo 03, the evening could hardly be worse than the day before (Wednesday) ... I knock on wood. Stuart Hall has gradually learned the track. I asked him to go very slowly at first because we could not afford to repair the car again. At the end, he recorded a good time. We thought we could go faster with this car but we lack development. After what happened on Wednesday, it will already be quite a feat to complete the race. In the race, we will drive cautiously to try and keep going for as long as possible."
