LM P2 prototypes: OAK Racing fastest – The Oreca Nissan of G-Drive Racing and ADR-Delta shared the best times of the first two sessions yesterday, but OAK Racing set the fastest lap on Saturday for the class, with Bertrand Baguette (Morgan Nissan No.35). After being the fastest in the evening session yesterday, the team based in Le Mans took the top two spots with the second fastest time of Olivier Pla (Morgan Nissan No. 24). With four teams at the top of the timesheets in two days of testing, the LM P2 grid will be more competitive than ever in 2013.
LM GTE: Ferrari takes the lead – At the wheel of the AF Corse 458 Italia, Giancarlo Fisichella set the fastest time in LM GTE Pro, while the new American team 8star Motorsport did the same in LM GTE Am, but it was the AF Corse 458 Italia entered in the 'Am' class that retained the best performance of the weekend, recorded yesterday by Matt Griffin. Note that three teams were not testing on Saturday afternoon Larbre (Corvette) Imsa Performance Matmut and Proton Competition (Porsche).
Now, all efforts of the competitors will focus on the Tourist Trophy, which will open the 2013 season of the FIA World Endurance Championship on the 14th of April 14 at Silverstone (Great Britain).
