Second at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2011 in the company of Portuguese Pedro Lamy in the Peugeot 908 #9, Sebastien Bourdais and Simon Pagenaud made a solid performance on the circuit of Mid-Ohio, during the 12th round of the IndyCar season 2011.

In the race won by Scott Dixon of New Zealand, Sebastien Bourdais, in his seventh appearance in the IndyCar season, set a third consecutive top 10, finishing ninth for team Dale Coyne Racing, the 'man from Le Mans' is only taking on road courses and street circuits.

Simon Pagenaud meanwhile for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, (replacing Justin Wilson at short notice, who was injured during practice) qualified 18th. He gained five places in the race, and took the chequered flag in thirteenth position. This replacement could be extended because initial diagnosis has revealed that Justin Wilson suffered a fracture of the fifth vertebra. We will know at the next race to be held on 14th August on the oval track in Loudon (New Hampshire).
