Le Mans Series - 1000 km Hungaroring

Third and fourth qualifiers in LM P2, the Pescarolo numbers 24 and 35 retain their Championship chances, especially since they are ahead of their main rival, the RML Lola. In contrast, Strakka Racing seems untouchable today. We asked Jacques Nicolet, driver and owner of Oak Racing.

Are you satisfied with your weekend so far?

"I am very happy with the work done yesterday. The  HPD package is incredible and Danny Watts is simply extraordinary. Strakka is on another planet, that of the LM P1! I would rather be a little better placed on the grid, but it is a long race. We must find the right balance of pace."

What will be the key to the race, just now?
"The configuration of the circuit does not really lend itself to the prototypes, and the track is very narrow. There is a portion of the circuit where it is impossible to overtake even a GT2."

And the night finish - around 22 hours - it could upset the order?
"No, the visibility is not bad, unlike what we had imagined. The organizers have added temporary lights that can see the corners. However, if a car loses an item in a straight line, it will be very difficult to see."
