The Frenchman had a smile on his face after the ACO conference on Wednesday, and for good reason, his team Rebellion Racing has two invitations to the 24 Hours of Le Mans!
Can you tell us about your new car?
Jean-Christophe Boullion: "We are fortunate to have a Lola chassis that we know well and it is reliable. The integration of the Toyota V8 in the car went very well, and the manufacturer's technical contribution is huge! "
What are your first impressions at the wheel?
"In November, we did two test sessions in Spain at Monteblanco, and at Portimao in Portugal. We covered 5000 km without any major concern. Furthermore, the engine was very reliable on the dyno."
And performance?
"It was a very big surprise! (Pause) We have been testing since November, but the engine has been further improved since then! We are eager for battle, to confirm our competitiveness."
What is the schedule for weeks to come?
"We will do the Le Mans Series test days with one car. The other will already be en route to the first appointment of ILMC at Sebring. Then, it will remain in the United States until the Petit Le Mans. "
