Jota Sport: Bye-bye Super38 (video)!

The name Jota Sport does not figure on the entry list for the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) this year, yet the British outfit - winner in LMP2 at the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans with the #38 Zytek - is indeed present, in charge of the development of Jackie Chan DC Racing's two Oreca 07s.

Jota Sport's #38 car had an exceptionally long and successful career that includes the European Le Mans Series title in the LMP2 class in 2016 after a win in LMP2 at the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans, thanks to driver-owner Simon Dolan, Oliver Turvey and the stunning Harry Tincknell, now an official Ford driver, who symbolically handed the car keys to Ho-Pin Tung, sharing the wheel of Jackie DC Racing's #38 Oreca with Alex Brundle and Tristan Gommendy, in the Raidillon de l'Eau Rouge after the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

The Zytek Z11SN, later called the Gibson 015S and nicknamed the "Mighty38" (Super38), will be taking its well-deserved retirement since its succession is ensured by the #37 Oreca, for which the team is seeking a name via Twitter, and the #38!
