Just one Ligier in LMP2 for IDEC Sport at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans

Though IDEC Sport will field two Ligier JS P217s in the LMP2 class for the European Le Mans Series this year, the French team has decided to concentrate its efforts into just one car for the 2018 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and will therefore request the removal of the second car in seventh place on the reserve car list.

The IDEC Sport team - whose sporting director is none other than former official Peugeot driver Nicolas Minassian - has confirmed the participation, in the #28 car, of Paul Lafargue (the son of owner Patrice) and Paul-Loup Chatin (a driver on the weekends and student at Sciences Po during the week), but has yet to reveal the name of the third driver who will compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In 2017, the French outfit was a 24 Hours of Le Mans rookie, crossing the finish line in the LMP2 class in 10th place with a driver line-up of Patrice and Paul Lafargue, as well as David Zollinger.
