Kristian Poulsen (Corvette): "the level in LM GTE Am is really high"

Kristian Poulsen, member of Larbre Comp

You won for your first participation in 2009 at the wheel of a Porsche RS Spyder belonging to Team Essex in LM P2. What do you remember about it?
Kristian Poulsen: "It was my first time at Le Mans and we had a super car and two good teammates. It was a fantastic experience. Also, to drive a Porsche RS Spyder was really very fun, it was a totally new car for me. So I tried to learn as quickly as possible. My teammates, Emmanuel Collard and Casper Elgaard helped me a lot."

Now, you are driving a Corvette C7.R. How do you feel about it?
"I have strong feelings for this car even though we missed our chance during the first two rounds at Silverstone and at Spa-Francorchamps. But the car is behaving well, we have a lot of hope for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and claiming a podium finish."

You had already driven the Aston Martin V8 Vantage for two years. Now, you are at the wheel of a Corvette C7.R. What are the differences between the two models?
"The two cars are pretty similar, even in the driving style. There are different things inside the Corvette like the air conditioning for example. The top speed is about the same, the differences between the two are minimal."

What are your goals for the 24 Hours of Le Mans?
"We shall see what happens. We will push as much as possible and see where we end up. In any case, we will fight to claim a podium finish but this year the level in LM GTE AM is really high. Regardless, we have the car to win."

It is your first season with the French team Larbre Compétition. How do you feel about the team?
"The team is really great and has a lot of experience in endurance. my teammates are reliable and fast. I am sure we will do good work here."
