With the withdrawal of the Highcroft Racing HPD it meant the #22 Kronos Lola Aston Martin was the final car accepted by the ACO into this year's race.

Marc van Dalen, Team Director expressed his thoughts: "It's both a great relief and a great pressure. There were only 3 weeks left to set up everything and time is running out! But thanks to the collaboration with the Marc VDS Racing Team and support of Orbello Racing, the car owner, everything was planned as though our participation was never in doubt. We are very happy the ACO has accepted our application and we are going to do our best to represent Belgium at Le Mans"

Jean-Michel Delporte, the programme team manager said: "Last year we raced our Ford GT so we are rookies really as we move up to LM P1 but we'll try hard, the collaboration with Kronos Racing - who will manage the project and deal with all communications matters - as well as the relationship with Michelin and the ACO, allows us to focus on the technical development of the car"

Count Marc van der Straten-Ponthoz, President of Marc VDS remarked with his usual enthusiasm:" We will be supporting our 100% Belgian team, wishing them great success though we are well aware of the hazards involved in this great race"
