What can you tell us about this project?
Lucas Ordonez: "First of all, this is an exciting project. We came to Le Mans to show off a different technology and to bring motor sport into a new era This is a chance for me to be part of this project and it is a great challenge. I congratulate the people of Nissan Motorsports Global have done a superb job with this car. We are here to prove that we can complete a full lap in electric mode. then we'll see what happens during the race. "

How does the ZEOD RC work?
"The car is equipped with a small petrol engine 1.5-litre 3-cylinder. There are also two electric motors. We normally go 11 or 12 laps depending on the race conditions with the petrol engine. When our engineer calls us, it goes to the two electric motors and we will do a complete lap in electric mode. "

What is your goal for the 24 Hours of Le Mans?
"The goal is to complete the electric lap. Finishing the race may be too difficult for us because the challenge is enormous. This is such a complex technology. We will do our best in any case."

Is this a step towards the LM P1 Nissan project?
"Of course! Some of the technologies that we use in ZEOD RC will be installed in the Nissan LM P1. But it is very confidential. I work for Nissan, but I do not really know what happens behind the scenes!"
