For the 2014 campaign of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2014, the Swiss team remains loyal to Morgan-Judd equipped with Dunlop tires. The latter allowed it a fifth place finish in the LM P2 class (eleventh overall) at the 90 year anniversary edition of the 24 Hours and to claim a podium finish three times in the ELMS, including at the last race of the season.
The Morand Racing team has indeed finished the season in fine form with a second place finish achieved by Natacha Gachnang, replaced by Gary Hirsch in 2014, and Christian Klien, integrated into the outfit for the last two races of 2013. The 31 year old Austrian driver, third at Le Mans with Peugeot in 2008, will serve as mentor to the Swiss driver, winner of the LM PC class in the ELMS in 2013, and the Frenchman Romain Brandela, who debuted in the LM P2 class last year in La Sarthe with the Lola-BMW of DKR Engineering, ranked last in the prototype class.
The drivers were present yesterday and today at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours for private testing and will be at the Circuit Paul Ricard, in the Castellet (Var), April 1st and 2nd for the official test of the ELMS.
