The Le Mans Classic will bring together 450 race cars, 1,000 drivers, 10,000 collection cars and more than 100,000 spectators for a breathtaking show - paced with races of six grids grouping cars from the 24 Hours of Le Mans between 1923 and 1979 - as well as the always highly anticipated Artcurial Motorcars auction.

This auction will take place in the Artcurial tent set up at the heart of the 24 Hours circuit and will be punctuated by the typical verve of auctioneer and gentleman-driver Hervé Poulain who has participated at Le Mans 10 times. Great enthusiast of contemporary art, he achieved his best result in La Sarthe in 1979 (sixth) at the wheel of a BMW M1 painted by Andy Warhol. He also ran in the Le Mans Classic at the wheel of an Alfa Romeo decorated by the photographer Bettina Rheims.

Matthieu Lamoure (Artcurial Motorcars Director): "We are thrilled to return to the Le Mans Classic after our sales record of 30 million euros at the Retromobile show in February. The Le Mans Classic is one of the most important historic car races in the world and we will once again have the opportunity to offer around 100 fantastic cars, including the AC Cobra that finished in 18th place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans five years ago…"

The seventh edition of the Le Mans Classic will take place July 4th-6th (official website).
