ANOTHER REMARKABLE SHOWING BY Laige
Having started from the pole for the 10-lap sprint race, Aurélien "Laige" Mallet was cool as a cucumber. The driver, a true legend in the Forza Motorsport game, triumphed over Tobin Leigh (Lazarus team) and Shaun Arnold (JOTA Esports team). The race served as a warm-up to the main event, the "endurance" round of 32 laps.
The order on the starting grid was reversed in the second race. Aurélien "Laige" Mallet found himself bringing up the rear, but it took the veteran gamer only five laps to snatch the lead. The Red Bull Racing Esports driver was aggressive, precise and particularly consistent despite the pouring rain. The race once again proved the tremendous talent of Mallet, a seven-time French champion and four-time world champion in the game.
Daniel Nyman (Lazarus team) also executed an impressive climb all the way to a podium finish for his team, and third place went to Shaun Arnold. In the end, the same three teams scored the top 3 in both races, an impressive feat given some extremely challenging track conditions.
Another performance worth highlighting was that of Fordzilla, Ford's official Esports team. The team finished fifth in the first race and sixth in the second thanks to driver Christian Popp.
In the team classification, Lazarus is still in the lead, JOTA Esports is in second place and Red Bull Esports is now in third.
