Extreme Speed Motorsports have high hopes for Le Mans this year after their 2015 disappointment when the team switched to Ligier chassis just a few weeks before the race. With such a glittering start to the year in the USA and two second places in the first two rounds of the WEC, the team approaches the 24 Hours of Le Mans with plenty of confidence.
A special livery for a special race. Extreme Speed Motorsports’ usual livery advertises team owner and driver Ed Brown’s alcoholic drink but the team has to change its look to compete in France, where advertising for cigarettes and alcohol is banned.
Still, the partnership with Paul Mitchell Systems keeps things pretty much in the family. The hairstyling brand is jointly owned by Paul Mitchell and John Paul Dejoria, who is also co-owner of Ed Brown’s company.
The outside is different, but inside there has been no change: Ed Brown, Scott Sharp and Johannes van Overbeek share the #30 JS P2 while Chris Cumming, Ryan Dalziel and Pipo Derani take the wheel of the #31.
