Le Mans - Peugeot 905 "Supercopter" (French title for Airwolf TV show) at Aventure Peugeot museum

Are you a student passionate about the 24 Hours of Le Mans? Or an adult just as fascinated by the legendary endurance race? During All Saints school holiday, the Aventure Peugeot museum is showing an exhibit of competition cars dedicated to the marque and themed "They surpassed 300km/h."

The history linking the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Peugeot is undoubtedly in the air and competitors of the great race are clearly represented. And not just any, you will have the enormous pleasure to discover, or rediscover, several emblematic models of Peugeot's epic adventure in endurance such as the 908 HDi FAP (2009), 908 Hybrid 4 (2012) and 905 (1992 and 1993).

Peugeot Sport Technical Director from 1984 to 1992, André De Cortanze's rare and wonderful work, a 905 Evo 2, is also present at this exhibition. This model, originally expected for the 1993 season, would not take to a track in a competitive context until October 17, 1992. For the Magny-Cours 500km, Jean Todt - at the time President of Peugeot Sport and now President of the FIA - entrusted this new car to Derek Warwick and Yannick Dalmas for a few track laps, in tests, before parking the beast in the garage. The end of the 3.5L Sport-Prototypes World Championship did not allow this Evo 2 to come out of retirement earlier than anticipated. Rounding out the delegation of endurance cars, the exhibition is displaying a 1981 WM P79/80.
