"Le Mans Pit Lane" - a new way to see the 24 Hours

The 2017 edition of the Rétromobile international exhibition (February 8-12), the big event for classic cars held in Paris, included the release of the book "Le Mans Pit Lane" with its unique view into the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

"Le Mans Pit Lane" is the fruit of a chance meeting between a student, Lucie Hodiesne, and Jean-Claude Baudier, a renowned designer of dioramas primarily dedicated to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. At his boutique Chrono 43, is displayed a magnificent replica of the garage in Téloché village situated about 15 kilometers from Le Mans, which has for quite some time welcomed the Porsche team during the period of the 24 Hours.

Lucie Hodiesne and Jean-Claude Baudier worked relentlessly to get day and nighttime images around the 24 Hours circuit that were unusual, represented the special ambiance and are now included in "Le Mans Pit Lane." Like its title and cover art (see photo) indicate, this beautiful trilingual book (French-Engish-German) focuses significantly on the atmosphere in pit lane). Thanks to the talented eye of Jean-Claude Baudier, a veteran of the 24 Hours, and Lucie Hodiesne - young, enthusiastic and confident - the enduring magic of the 24 Hours of Le Mans has a new way to be seen and felt.
