On the occasion of Le Mans Classic Legend, which will take place from July 2 to 5, 2026 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, we are pleased to announce the exceptional presence of Gordon Murray, a visionary engineer and an iconic figure in the automotive history.

After starting his career with the Brabham team, Gordon Murray joined McLaren, contributing to the design of world championship-winning singleseaters in the 1980s and 1990s. His name also remains inextricably linked to the legendary McLaren F1, a revolutionary supercar with a central driving position, whose GTR version won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995.

More recently, through Gordon Murray Automotive, he has specialized in the production of limited-edition supercars, GTs, and hypercars, contemporary incarnation of his vision of the automobile.

<h2>An exceptional parade on the grand circuit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans</h2>

The highlight of this celebration will be an exclusive parade featuring several iconic Gordon Murray designs, which will be driven around the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit:

Throughout the weekend, the cars participating in this parade will be on display in the heart of the village, offering spectators a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in, the world of Gordon Murray.

<h2>Formula 1 on the grand circuit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans</h2>

The Brabham BT42, first Formula 1 car created entirely by Gordon Murray, marked his debut as a designer in the early 1970s. Competing in the 1973 and 1974 seasons, including for other teams than Brabham, it made a total of 27 Grand Prix starts and achieved two podium finishes, but no victories. It was driven by big names such as G&eacute;rard Larrousse, Lella Lombardi and Carlos Reutemann. Although its record remains modest, the BT42 was a founding step in Gordon Murray&#39;s technical evolution, a precursor to the daring single-seaters that would make the engineer famous.

Alongside it, the McLaren MP4/5B embodies McLaren&#39;s golden age at the turning point of the 1990s. Created under the technical direction of Gordon Murray and designed by Neil Oatley, it is the direct evolution of the legendary MP4/5. A key player in the McLaren-Ferrari duel and, above all, in the Senna-Prost rivalry in 1990, it enabled Ayrton Senna to win his second world title at the end of one of the most competitive seasons in Formula 1 history. In terms of figures, the MP4/5B racked up six wins, 12 pole positions and 5 fastest laps across 16 Grand Prix, as well as securing the constructors&#39; title for McLaren.

After headline acts Jean-Louis Aubert and The Libertines on the Wednesday and Thursday, 24 Hours of Le Mans Race Week  (10-14 June) continues with more major artists announced today.

More big names are to take the stage at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year. Rockers Jean-Louis Aubert, then The Libertines give way to pop-electro and the African music scene as the week progresses. Get ready to dance along to some remarkable performances.

<h2>Friday 12 June:</h2>

From 20:00: Robin Schulz

His pop-electro remixes have earned German musician Robin Schulz international recognition. Thanks to his first hit single, a remix of Waves by Dutch hip-hop artist Mr.Probz, and the follow-up remix of Prayer in C by Lilly Wood and the Prick, he is the most exported German artist of the last decade. With over 20 million albums sold, 8 billion streams and hits in 92 countries, he ranks among the world&rsquo;s most listened-to artists. Having played at huge festivals such as Tomorrowland and the Ultra Music Festival, Schulz is ready to bring his spectacular electro show to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

<h2>Saturday 13 June:</h2>

From 20:00: Magic System

Magic System have been filling the world&rsquo;s dance floors for over 25 years. Their first big hit Premier Gaou introduced the French-speaking public to the Ivorian group of friends. A symbol of the cultural ties between the Ivory Coast and France, Magic System are known for their high-energy performances and positive messages. The year 2024 was an exceptional one for the group when the single Magic in the Air was certified triple diamond in France. This year&rsquo;s jubilant tour is an opportunity to perform old favourites and new tracks. Expect a festive show that communicates togetherness, joy and unity.

From 22:00: Mosimann

A key figure on the European electro scene, Mosimann embodies a generation of multi-talented artists. A DJ, producer, singer and performer, he blends house, melodic techno and electronic pop in powerful, immersive sets. Ranked six times among the world&#39;s top 100 DJs, he performs at the most renowned clubs and festivals, transforming each set into a true live performance. His presence at the 24 Hours of Le Mans promises an electrifying finale to close out Saturday night.

<h2>A week of outstanding performances !</h2>

The 24 Hours of Le Mans Race Week concert bill comprises five headline concerts, scheduled from Wednesday to Saturday. First up, Jean-Louis Aubert, on Wednesday 10 June, followed by the raw, romantic energy of The Libertines on Thursday 11. Robin Schulz is preparing a spectacular electro show for Friday 12. On Race Day, Ivorian group Magic System will have spectators dancing to their exuberant hits before Mosimann takes the stage for an electrifying culmination to the evening. Four gigs, five different styles make up an eclectic, international billing for the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Qatar 1812km – originally scheduled to stage the opening round of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship on 26-28 March – has been officially postponed until later in the year.

FIA WEC management has been in constant dialogue with the Qatar Motor &amp; Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) in light of the current and evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East. With the safety and security of competitors, personnel and fans of the utmost importance, the decision has been taken to delay the event that had been due to take place on 26-28 March.

Following further discussions with our colleagues at Lusail International Circuit (LIC), where the race is held, a new date for the Qatar 1812km during the second half of the campaign will be finalised and communicated in due course.

The first round of the season will consequently now be the 6 Hours of Imola in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy on 17-19 April.

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President, F&eacute;d&eacute;ration Internationale de l&rsquo;Automobile (FIA), said: &ldquo;The safety and wellbeing of our community will always be the FIA&rsquo;s first priority, and I thank our Member Club the Qatar Motor &amp; Motorcycle Federation, Lusail International Circuit, the ACO and our championship colleagues for the measured and collaborative approach that has led to this decision.

&ldquo;As the opening event of the FIA World Endurance Championship, the Qatar 1812km holds a special place for many fans, drivers and teams alike, and we will work closely with all involved to reschedule the race for later in the 2026 season.

&ldquo;The FIA continues to monitor developments across the region and our thoughts remain will all those affected by these recent events as we hope for calm, safety and a return to stability.&rdquo;

Abdulrahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai, President, Qatar Motor &amp; Motorcycle Federation and Lusail International Circuit, said: &ldquo;Following in-depth discussions with the FIA World Endurance Championship and all relevant stakeholders, the Qatar Motor &amp; Motorcycle Federation and Lusail International Circuit respect and support FIA WEC&rsquo;s decision to postpone the Qatar 1812km race.

&ldquo;We thank our fans, teams and partners for their understanding and continued support, and look forward to welcoming everyone back to Lusail International Circuit.&rdquo;

Pierre Fillon, President, Automobile Club de l&rsquo;Ouest (ACO), said: &ldquo;First and foremost, I must stress that our primary thoughts are with the victims of this terrible conflict. At times like these, sporting interests are clearly secondary, which is why a decision has been quickly taken that the event cannot proceed at the present time.

&ldquo;We are working hard with Lusail International Circuit and the Qatar Motor &amp; Motorcycle Federation to find the best alternative to allow the Qatar 1812km to take place at a later date in 2026, and we thank all parties for their earnest support, cooperation and understanding in this matter.&rdquo;

Fr&eacute;d&eacute;ric Lequien, CEO, FIA World Endurance Championship, said: &ldquo;The Qatar 1812km is an integral part of the FIA WEC calendar, and I offer my sincere thanks to Lusail International Circuit and the Qatar Motor &amp; Motorcycle Federation for their close collaboration.

&ldquo;We have all been working hand-in-hand since Saturday morning to find the best solution for staging the event, and while we still need a few more days to finalise the exact revised date, I can confirm it will be during the second half of the 2026 season. We will provide more information as soon as it is available.&rdquo;

Qatar 1812km postponed, season to start at Imola

AF Corse has unveiled the livery that will adorn the #83 Ferrari 499P competing in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship, including the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The #83 Ferrari 499P &ndash; last year&rsquo;s 24 Hours of Le Mans winner &ndash; will sport a new livery in 2026. While continuity is the watchword, a few stylistic changes have been introduced. The emblematic Giallo Modena is once again the main colour of the hypercar, but a fresh, new design is adopted for the red touches that reinforce the team&rsquo;s racing identity.

Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson will once again share the wheel. In addition to their stunning 24 Hours victory, the trio finished runners-up in the Hypercar World Endurance Drivers&rsquo; Championship standings. They will be back at Le Mans in June to defend their crown while attempting to go one better in the 2026 world title chase.

	Victorious in its class (LM P2) at the 12 Hours of Sebring and the third of Le Mans 24 Hours and 6 Hours of Imola, the team will change the Level 5 Motorsports car for the end of the season. Two Honda ARX-01g chassis meeting the cost capped criteria of the regulations are already ordered and one will be run over the last three rounds of the ILMC.

	The Americans will take possession of the first chassis - built by Wirth Research in England - just before the fifth round of the ILMC on the 11th Sept at Silverstone. After the ILMC rounds in October at Road Atlanta (Petit Le Mans) and Zhuhai on 13th November, Level 5 Motorsports has a strong development programme for the 2012 season.

	Scott Tucker, driver and owner of Level 5 Motorsports: &ldquo;We looked through all of the numbers, inside and out, and from our perspective, there&rsquo;s no doubt the Honda package in the new cost-capped configuration will be a front runner in LMP2. We&rsquo;ve seen gains with the engine all year and the good thing is that there&rsquo;s still room for development. The HPD engine and chassis combination has proven to be the best over the years. We feel very comfortable and confident in making this unprecedented and decisive move in the middle of the season...&nbsp;We feel that our best opportunity to be prepared for the remaining ILMC races this year, and looking beyond into 2012&quot;
