Leader of the standings of the 2011 ALMS, Dyson Racing is celebrating the first race with a second Lola-Mazda by setting the two best times of the qualifying session.
Chris Dyson set the best performance ahead of his team-mate Steven Kane. Dyson Racing hopes to win 'home advantage' in this third round of the American Le Mans Series 2011. "I'm so happy," said Chris Dyson, who will race with Guy Smith, who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2003. "We have a lot of friends and family who are cheering us on. You don't want to send then home disappointed. I was impressed with both Steven Kane and Humaid Al Masaood (#20), our teammates in the second car, and Steven really showed a lot of pace in qualifying." The two Dyson Racing cars lead of the Lola- Aston Martin of Lucas Luhr / Klaus Graf (Team CytoSport), their direct opponents in the 2011 season.
In GT, BMW managed a simillar performance: Joey Hand the fastest time of the class ahead the sister car of Auberlen / Werner. They lead the Porsche of Bergmeister / Long (Flying Lizard Motorsports) and Gavin/Magnussen works Corvette.
