In 2016, Scuderia Villorba Corsa contested the inaugural season of the GT3 Le Mans Cup with a Ferrari F458 Italia GT3 in the hands of Cédric Mezard and Steeve Hiesse. A haul of 35 points over the course of the season placed the team fifth in the Teams’ championship. The two men came 24th (11th in GT3) at Road To Le Mans. The team entered the ELMS in LM P3 for the second season running, this time fielding a Ligier JS P3 for Roberto Lacorte, Niccolo Schiro and Giorgio Sernagiotto. They did not quite enjoy 2015’s success, finishing in 17th place with eight points.

For 2017, the team has changed name to Cetilar Villorba Corse. Cetilar is a range of treatments for sports people (providing relief from joint pain and other complaints). The 100% Italian outfit (staff, drivers and cars) is entering the new Dallara P217 – Gibson (LM P2) in the current ELMS campaign for Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and works driver Andrea Belicchi. The three men came sixth at the season opener at Silverstone, followed by a fifth place in the second round on their home turf.

The drivers are beginning to get to grips with their new machine but Le Mans is already upon them. Cetilar Villorba Corse will be making its 24 Hours début and reaching the finish line will most certainly be the team’s objective.
