Between May and June, the British manufacturer will be seen at the GP of Monaco GP, the Indy 500 and Le Mans 24 Hours. What could be better?

Not since 1997 has the Lotus name been on the entry list of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. That year, the Elise GT1 was not able to cope with the McLaren F1, Porsche 911 and amongst  others the Nissan R390. To date, the only trophy won by the manufacturer at Le Mans is a victory in the performance index in 1957. The thin aluminum body and small engine (745 cm3) of the Lotus Eleven embodied the spirit of the classification that is the ancestor of the Michelin Green X Challenge.

Presented at the last Geneva Motor Show, the Lotus Evora GTE recently tested at Snetterton and the Lotus private track at Hethel, Norfolk. It will make its official debut this weekend at the Circuit de la Sarthe.
