First winner of the Nissan/PlayStation academy, Lucas Ordenez will show his abilities again on real life race tracks with the Greaves Motorsport team, which will run a Nissan engined Zytek at the next 24 Hours of Le Mans, and in the European Le Mans Series as well.

The Spanish driver will join the Le Mans Series and 24 Hours of Le Mans winning team. He will team up with ex-Formula 1 driver Martin Brundle and son Alex for the race at Le Mans and with Alex Brundle and Tom Kimber-Smith in the European Le Mans Series.

In 2011, the young driver from Madrid contributed to the Signatech-Nissan victory in ILMC. He will swap his Oreca for a Zytek chassis, but he will still have a Nissan engine, this is why he should get used very quickly to his new car, as he explained: “2011 was an incredible year for me, I learned a lot with Signatech Nissan. They believed in me and trusted me to get the job done. Nissan has set me my next challenge: an overall championship victory. With two top team-mates and a championship-winning team I am aiming to win the European Le Mans Series outright. The Le Mans 24 Hours will again be a big challenge for me and I’m very much looking forward to racing with Martin (Brundle) as I will learn a lot from him. With Martin, Alex and myself I think we will have one of the strongest line-ups in LM P2. It feels great to be able to say that!”

Greaves Motorsport will run one car in the WEC, one car in the European Le Mans Series and two cars at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June; all entries are in the LM P2 category.
