Memories of Porsche winners at Le Mans (+video)

Of the sixteen Porsche victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, ten were won by a factory car. This video offers a fascinating variety of footage.

This video offers a journey through the history of Porsche at Le Mans. See a lap on board the Porsche 936 that won in in 1997 in the hands of Jürgen Barth, Hurley Haywood, Jacky Ickx , and footage of the 917, 936, 956, and the 911 GT1, Porsche that gave them their sixteenth and most recent overall victory in La Sarthe in 1998, with Laurent Aiello, Stéphane Ortelli and Allan McNish.

You can also see some motor racing legends Jacky Ickx (aka "Mr. Le Mans") and Derek Bell, one of the greatest duos in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the engineer Norbert Singer, the technical master of Porsche at Le Mans and driver Jochen Mass, one of the most loyal drivers of the marque.

While Porsche is actively preparing a return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans with its new prototype, here are the ten works driver crews, that gave the German manufacturer ten of their sixteen victories in La Sarthe:

1986 : Derek Bell-Al Holbert-Hans Joachim Stück (Porsche 962C n°1)
