For the season finale, the two regular rivals of the ALMS, Dyson Racing and Muscle Milk Pickett Racing took the fight to the end at Road Atlanta. After a turbulent race it was the latter that prevailed

A long way behind race winners Rebellion Racing were the Dyson Racing Lola Mazda and the Honda of Muscle Milk Pickett Racing, who finished 32nd and 34th respectively at Petit Le Mans ... But this was enough for Lucas Luhr and Klaus Graf to secure the 2012 American Le Mans Series LM P1 title. The two men, who where joined in Georgia by Audi driver Romain Dumas, however, they suffered a spectacular collision with a Porsche while they were leading the race. Then the trio of Smith, Dyson and Kane were delayed by a fuel pressure drop and electrical problems. The ALMS will restart again on the 16th of March 2013 in Florida for the 12 Hours of Sebring.
