New paddock accessway at the 24 Hours of Le Mans is now ready to go

Construction work was undertaken to provide additional access for emergency vehicles to the working paddock of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, near the Race Direction building. The new access way is now fully functioning.

Up until now, only two entryways large enough to accommodate fire fighting and emergency vehicles were in place at the paddock behind the pits, but that will no longer be the case as of this year's 85th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The work on the third accessway, overseen by the Syndicat mixte du Circuit des 24 Heures, is already completed.

Though the access ramp previously available for individuals with limited mobility has been removed, a new ramp has been installed to facilitate access to various parts of this area, according to the Accessibility Agenda underway.
