Nick Tandy, from Porsche to KCMG

After having won at the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans as a factory Porsche LM P1 driver at the wheel of the 919 Hybrid, at the 6 Hours of N

After having competed at the 6 Hours of Silverstone in KCMG's new Oreca 05, Nick Tandy joined Porsche to take the wheel of the third 919 Hybrid entered at the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. As he won at the 24 Hours along with Nico Hülkenberg and Earl Bamber, KCMG reigned in the LM P2 class (pole position, victory) with Richard Bradley, Matt Howson and Nicolas Lapierre, who replaced the Brit for those two races with KCMG. After his win at the 24 Hours, Tandy will rejoin the KCMG team and current leader in the class' provisional standings on August 30th for the return of the World Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany.

Nick Tandy: "Every time I race at a new circuit or in a new championship, I meet different people, and we still talk about what happened in June. It's even better to see everyone again at KCMG because we can share our memories of our wins! Our hospitality areas are adjoined at Le Mans, I was able to congratulate them, then Matt and Richard came over to Porsche to continue the celebration! There was still work on the car after Silverstone, but Le Mans proved the degree to which the team and the Oreca did good work. Now, it's a different car. All this gives us great satisfaction and a huge amount of confidence. We all won a race in the World Endurance Championship so we can manage the points in the race. The most important nevertheless are the big points (remember the 24 Hours of Le Mans carries double points in comparison to the other races in the World Championship, editor's note) that the team won at Le Mans with an eye on the rest of the season."
