For two consecutive weekends, Oak Racing will be at the heart of two of the biggest events of the summer of historic cars: the Festival of Speed at Goodwood (28th June to 1st July) and Le Mans Classic (6th to 8th of July).

The Festival of Speed each year celebrates the memory of motorsport, with many cars and invited guests. The Morgan marque which gives its name to LM P2 prototypes Oak Racing, occupies a significant place in the heritage of British sports GT cars. Jacques Nicolet's team will run at Goodwood with Matthieu Lahaye driving the Judd Morgan LM P2 No.24 that raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Also note the presence of a Morgan three-wheeler. Both cars will carry the famous blue and orange colors of Gulf Oil Company, three times winner in La Sarthe. Apart from Oak Racing at Goodwood, there will also be no fewer than a dozen former winners of the Le Mans 24 Hours (Tom Kristensen, Richard Attwood, Derek Bell, Jacky Ickx, Allan McNish, Klaus Ludwig, Jochen Mass, Jackie Oliver, Emanuele Pirro, Vern Schuppan, Guy Smith, Andy Wallace, Marc Gene), and some participants of the 2012 race (Nick Heidfeld, Nicolas Prost, Karun Chandhok, Marino Franchitti, Michael Krumm, Brendon Hartley, Nicolas Minassian).

Oak Racing will also be present at Le Mans Classic, with the Costin Nathan that raced the 24 Hours in 1967, this prototype has the distinction of using a wooden frame. Its creator, the British engineer Frank Costin used his technical knowledge from designing wooden gliders for the British army during World War II. "Our Belgian engineer Marc Widar who restores historic vehicles, located the car in Perigueux," said Jacques Nicolet, owner of Oak Racing. "At first glance, I fell in love with its lines and its originality. It was a real stroke of lightning. I decided to buy before knowing its story and that of the marque. This car handled very well in terms of aerodynamics at Le Mans, it is very powerful despite its small displacement. The wooden chassis confers rigidity and lightness. I do not know if this is the favourite of my collection but anyway this is one I am most attached to. In general, it generates a lot of interest from the fans and the public generally. "
