Paris Motor Show - The Ford Mustang on the track in Le Mans (video)

Before playing the part of the big American star at the Paris Motor Show, in July the new Ford Mustang was at the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit for the seventh edition of the Le Mans Classic.

The visit to La Sarthe by the sixth generation of the iconic American sports car was no accident: it was 50 years ago, in 1964, that Ford began its great offensive which culminated in four consecutive victories at the 24 Hours (1966-67-68-69).

During that time, the Ford Mustang also became a screen legend. It appeared in the Claude Lelouch film "A Man and a Woman" (1966) - Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and the Oscar for Best Foreign Film - in which the hero is Jean-Louis Trintignant, nephew of Maurice, winner at Le Mans in 1954. And of course with Steve McQueen behind the wheel in "Bullitt," directed by the Brit, Peter Yates, in 1968.
