Wonderful French fans and the support of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest make this race a real pleasure. Though it is a daunting task to put everything in place to compete in barely four months, we are ready for the challenge." For now, Patrick Dempsey has participated at the 24 Hours with a 100% success rate: he reached the checkered flag in his first two, in 2009 (in a Ferrari F430 GT car) and 2013. Last year, along with his teammates Joe Foster and Patrick Long, Dempsey finished fourth in the LM GTE Am class, after leading the class.

As in 2013, Dempsey Racing will race a Porsche 911 RSR in partnership with the Proton Competition team, longtime representative of the Stuttgart automaker (with a class win at the 24 Hours in 2010) before the arrival of the Olaf Manthey organization. The car will again be No. 77. "Patrick and I are very grateful to Porsche for giving us a nice foundation upon which to build, says Joe Foster. We have the suppport of Porsche and Proton and this year we are approaching the race with a different level of experience and attention to every detail, both from the marketing point of view but also the competitive." The name of Patrick Dempsey's and Joe Foster's teammate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be announced shortly. Last year, they were joined by the American Patrick Long, a Porsche factory driver for many years.
