Until the 17th of October, the automobile world is at Paris Motor Show. Hall 3 features a partner of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest.
A few metres from an Audi R10 TDI and a Saleen S7R, the Pescarolo driving School 'Circuit du Mans' sits proudly on the stand of Sora Composites. Yannick Amossé, research director, welcomed us: "With the program launched by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, we have developed techniques that enabled us to reduce manufacturing costs of a carbon fibre shell. "
At a time when ecology is central to all concerns, the weight becomes the number one enemy of our cars. Sora Composites intends to exercise its powers, developed through the prototype Pescarolo Le Mans. "Launched in June 2008, the program has been accredited by OSEO (Supports innovation and growth of PME) in February 2010 and the first laps were run on the 4th of December 4, 2009 the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans. "Said Yannick Amossé. "Designed to train new drivers in ACO endurance, and allow fans a new experience, the Pescarolo proto' drives like a true LMP in the expert hands of its test driver Tinseau. "
Since 1 July 2010, the ACO school system has operated a fleet of seven vehicles. The training is supervised by renowned instructors who have a dual role; providing a first serious approach to drivers who wish to move towards endurance, or allow all the fans - who hold a driving license - to experience 24 Hours of Le Mans.
