Peugeot and BMW confirm pace at warm-up

Under a blue sky and already a warm 18°C at 9am, competitors of 6 hours Imola made the final adjustments of the cars during the warm up.

At 1'33 "847, Franck Montagny set the fastest time of the final pre-race session. The driver of the Peugeot #8 was ahead of his rivals Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen in the Audi #2. Surprisingly, despite the low importance of session times, prototype drivers were particularly quick ... No doubt, traffic management will be one of the keys to the race this afternoon (starting at 12 noon CET).

In GTE, the pole winner Jorg Muller confirmed the pace of BMW on the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit. Ferrari's only notable event of the session, was the minor incident of Tracy Krohn (F430 #57) at Rivazza.
