On October 16, 2005, Fernando Alonso became the first Spaniard to win the F1 World Champion title, with Renault. The driver was crowned once again the next year, and gave the start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 14, 2014.
The same year, Fernando Alonso visited his friend Mark Webber in the paddock at the 6 Hours of Bahrain and became a full-blown fan of the 24 Hours of Le Mans after the surprise win for F1 driver Nico Hülkenberg with Porsche in 2015.
