Every year since 1998 during the month of September, racing cars and motos that participated in events at the original circuit between 1948 and 1966 have come together for a weekend at Lord March's Goodwood property. A good number of races take place over three days, with the first day serving as a sort of dress rehearsal that always includes several previous 24 Hours of Le Mans winners as well as excited spectators (the event is typically sold out) in appropriate era garb. As coveted an event has taken place in France since 2014 in the form of Chantilly Arts & Elégance organized by Peter Auto, but in the place of races it holds a Concours d'État that this year, in celebration of Ferrari's anniversary, is mostly dedicated to the Italian marque. Naturally, the legendary Italian racing cars will also be in the spotlight during the official celebration of Ferrari's 70th anniversary that kicked off yesterday at its headquarters in Maranello. The event, exclusive to Ferrari owners, consists of a concours d'élégance, a unique show and an auction with two cars that have taken the start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Lastly, the Musée Maurice Dufresne (content in French), located at the Moulin de Marnay in Azay-le-Rideau, is hosting an exhibition of vintage Renaults and Alpines, with in attendance official Alpine driver Nelson Panciatici who claimed the third step on the LMP2 class podium at the 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as a car, moto and tractor parts exchange!
