Free live broadcasts of qualifying sessions and races as well as an enhanced broadcast programming for the Asian Le Mans Series have resulted in record viewership.

With more than 1,065 broadcast hours on 57 channels across the globe, the 2018-2019 season of the Asian Le Mans Series drew 4.24 million TV viewers in 104 countries. Additionally, 1.48 million people watched 600+ hours of series highlights, an average of 1.43 million viewers for each of the four rounds of the season.

The championship has been an unmitigated success in China where a record audience of 3.8 million tuned into the Asian Le Mans Series.

By making the series available live for free worldwide, the Asian Le Mans Series is one of the most accessible race series in the world. TV broadcasts alone have reached nearly half a billion viewers.

On social media, the championship has also gained a great deal of momentum. The hashtag of each race generates an average of 8.5 million reactions on Twitter alone.

The number of entrants is also on the rise, by nearly 50% compared to last season. The 2018-2019 season saw teams from 13 different countries and drivers of 26 various nationalities compete.

The 2018-2019 trophy winners were United Autosports in LMP2, Inter Europol Competition in LMP3, Car Guy in GT and ARC Bratislava in LMGTE Am. They all received an invitation to the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 15-16 June in the LMP2 and LMGTE Am classes.
