After the first qualifying sessions, the BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR of France #99 (Sebastien Gimbert - Erwan Nigon - Damian Cudlin) captured the provisional pole with a cumulative time of 1'37''564 through, among other things, the historic time set by Erwan Nigon (1 '36''950). He became the first Endurance rider down below 1'37 on the Bugatti circuit.
The second time is credited to the Monster Yamaha YART (Igor Jerman - Steve Martin - Loris Baz) in 1'38''109. It was another Yamaha, the Yamaha France GMT 94 Ipone (Matthew Lagrive - David Checa - Kenny Foray) that took the third time in 1'38''530. Followed by Kawasaki #11 (1'38''738), the Yamaha #14 (1'39''188) and Suzuki #1 (1'39''342).
In the the Superstock class, the #13 BMW of Van Zon Boenig Motorsportschool (Gregory Fastre - Michal Filla - Ari Vos) takes provisional pole in 1'39''727 ahead of the #72 Suzuki of Junior Team LMS (Cédric Tangre - Julien Enjolras - Loic Napoleone) in 1'40''409, and #50 of Suzuki of Motors Events Bodyguard AMT Assurances (Vincent Bocquet - William Grarre - Emilien Humeau) in 1'40''519.
All the riders take the track again at 9pm (CET) for the night practice session ...
