Once passed the reconstruction of the historic office that oversaw the inception of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, some icons of the 24 Hours of Le Mans can be admired (Matra, Porsche, Chenard & Walcker, Ferrari)...and two Steves: McQueen (the man who thought so much of the 24 Hours he made a film about it) and Warson (fictional winner at Le Mans as teammate of his best friend Michel Vaillant, the most famous driver in the comic books).
Before reaching the gangway-turned-mezzanine dedicated to the history of the 24 Hours, other marvels of the race await visitors in various booths on the ground floor, including four winning cars: Renault-Alpine A442 B (1978), Jaguar XJR 9 (1988), Peugeot 905 and Porsche 911 GT1 (1998)...and a few other surprises in store throughout and during this emotional week for all sporting heritage enthusiasts.
