Driver of the Irish team Murphy Prototypes in the European Le Mans Series, the young New Zealander also finished twelfth of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With American driver Scott Mayer, he won at Road America driving the BMW-Riley of the Starworks Motorsport team, who won last year in the LM P2 class at Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
In one of the two DP Corvettes of 8Star Motorsports, Sebastien Bourdais finished in ninth position. The GT class was won by the BMW M3 of Bill Auberlen, Paul Dalla Lana and Billy Johnson. The American Patrick Long who finished second will also race this Sunday the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race, that will be broadcast from 20:45 French time on Motors TV. The next round of Grand Am 2013 will be on the 17th August at Kansas Speedway.
