The new M24 is home to one of motorsport’s richest collections.

All 100 cars on display are in working order and all have made their mark on automotive history. They form a glorious legacy. Alongside them, visitors can contemplate rare objects such as the firesuits worn by three-time Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna and six-time Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx. Also on display, the incredible Rudge-Whitworth cup, the trophy presented to the winners of the first 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1923.

A group of talented volunteers is currently putting the finishing touches to a collection of 4,800 scale models &ndash; replicas of all the cars that have taken part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1923.

Aptly located at the entrance to the circuit, the M24 celebrates living heritage. The wealth of its collections &ndash; dating from the late 19th century to the present day &ndash; and the sheer size of the project set it apart.

As a tourist attraction, the M24 is the place to go to grasp the importance of the race and its spellbinding influence. As a vector for emotion, the M24 passes on the passion for racing to visitors all year round.

The M24 is an immersive experience, unashamedly focused on motion and emotion. It houses the exceptional cars that are the heart and soul of a century of motorsport, in which fates were sealed, battled won and lost, and legacies built. M24 – Motorsport Museum : a unique collection

Some names evoke memories of bygone times. Others offer a peek into the future. By branding its hypercar “MCL-HY”, McLaren is not merely checking another box on its comeback trail. The British manufacturer is weaving an emotional thread linking 1995 to 2027... and beyond.

More than a simple code, it is a signature that identifies a direction and states a clear ambition: to reconnect with the Absolute.

<h2>MCL-HY&nbsp;&ndash; a legacy behind each letter</h2>

&ldquo;MCL&rdquo;: three letters that immediately strike a chord with Formula One fans. &ldquo;HY&rdquo;: two letters that instantly identify the car&rsquo;s era &ndash; Hypercar, the summit of endurance racing since 2021. Together, they emphasise McLaren&rsquo;s commitment to the FIA WEC.

At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, nothing ever truly disappears. Each triumph leaves a mark; each car becomes a legend. Utter this new name and one cannot help but hear an echo of the iconic <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/the-mclaren-f1-gtr-at-le-mans-1-key-dates-1995-1998-45631" target="_blank">McLaren F1 GTR</a> that made a winning d&eacute;but in 1995. A legendary lightning strike. The MCL-HY cannot erase the past but can aim to follow in its tracks.

The name is a foundation stone. On 4 May, McLaren will unveil the car and its test livery. However, the essentials are already laid. These five letters are a silent promise to return to Le Mans and its nocturnal magic, where headlights sear through the darkness &ndash; a moment suspended in time where everything becomes possible.

With a century of racing already on the clock, the icon of motorsport unveils a new brand design reflecting its singularity as a complete, universal, cultural event.

Today, the Automobile Club de l&rsquo;Ouest (ACO) begins writing a new chapter in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, introducing new branding, designed with frog, part of Capgemini, a global creative consulting agency specializing in business model reinvention and experience strategies.

The message &ndash;&nbsp;Drive your destiny&nbsp;&ndash; takes the race into a new era where limits continue to be pushed, power sustained and humanity celebrated.

<h2>A roadmap set out by the ACO</h2>

The new branding is part of ACO&rsquo;s overall growth strategy to build on the race&rsquo;s international reputation while remaining true to its soul. With over 300,000 spectators, the 24 Hours of Le Mans gathers people from all over the world and its new branding matches its status as an iconic annual event that transcends the frontiers of motorsport.

The core of the new identity is &ldquo;La Trace&rdquo;, a resolutely contemporary, intensely sensorial visual language that encapsulates motion, emotion and the ritual associated with the event. La Trace&nbsp;is a conversation between heritage and innovation, symbolising an intention of forward movement and a lasting imprint. It represents the unique experience of each person who encounters the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and captures the tension, the pace and the depth of emotion that define the race.

With the new branding, the 24 Hours of Le Mans can express itself coherently and with renewed vigour across all its physical and digital touch points, before during and after the event.

These choices underline the singularity of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in worldwide sport and culture. The event no longer defines itself as the world&rsquo;s greatest endurance race, rather as a shared experience, constantly in step with change &ndash; a cultural phenomenon that connects generations and leaves a lasting mark.

The redesign comes as the ACO pursues the ambitious growth of the 24 Hours of Le Mans ecosystem, the modernisation of the circuit and its infrastructure, the addition of off-track events and catering for a wider, more diverse spectator base.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans reveals a new brand identity

Toyota celebrated its 100th FIA World Endurance Championship appearance with an incredible 50th victory in the 2026 curtain-raising contest at Imola today, following an enthralling nip-and-tuck duel with home favourite Ferrari.

In front of a record Imola attendance of&nbsp;92,175 enthusiastic fans, the start was given by Formula 1 World Championship leader,&nbsp;Kimi Antonelli, and&nbsp;Ferrari&nbsp;delighted the ever-devoted tifosi by running first and second early on.

Having dropped to third at lights-out, the&nbsp;#8 Toyota&nbsp;piloted by&nbsp;Brendon Hartley&nbsp;regained second place during the opening round of pit-stops. The next time the heavily-revised&nbsp;TR010 Hybrid&nbsp;pulled into its box &ndash; just before the two-hour mark &ndash; Toyota elected not to change tyres in order to seize track position, catapulting&nbsp;Ryō Hirakawa&nbsp;past&nbsp;Alessandro Pier Guidi&nbsp;in the&nbsp;#51 Ferrari&nbsp;into the lead.

What ensued was a memorable face-off between the reigning world championship-winning marque and the most successful brand in the series&rsquo; history, with&nbsp;S&eacute;bastien Buemi&nbsp;in the leading TR010 Hybrid ultimately taking the chequered flag just over 13 seconds clear.

<h2>McLaren&rsquo;s pain is BMW&rsquo;s gain</h2>

In&nbsp;LMGT3,&nbsp;Team WRT&nbsp;extended BMW&rsquo;s excellent record at Imola, as the Belgian squad benefitted from late heartbreak for series newcomer&nbsp;Garage 59&nbsp;to triumph for the second time in three years in Italy ahead of TF Sport. The&nbsp;#69 BMW&nbsp;crossed the finish line barely 0.25secs in front of the&nbsp;#33 Corvette, after the pole-sitting&nbsp;#10 McLaren&nbsp;suffered alternator failure while on-course for victory just half-an-hour from the end.

The 2026 campaign continues with the&nbsp;TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps&nbsp;in Belgium on&nbsp;7-9 May.

	To prepare for their first visit Le Mans, the American team will be present with two cars, as well as the second round of the American Le Mans Series, scheduled for 16th April at Long Beach.</h2>

	&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve never missed an ALMS round with the Ford GT since entering the championship so it was a difficult decision.&quot; Explained the team-manager Andrew H Smith. &quot;While the second car will give us a Plan B should anything happen to the #40, it also ensures all six drivers can complete their mandatory ten laps of running. Needless to say the entire team cannot wait to get going!&rdquo;

	The official test day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be held on the 24th of April.
